Headteacher's Letter

Welcome to Gooseacre Primary School and thank you for taking the time to find out about our school.  Making the decision about which school is the right one for your child can be difficult but we hope that this prospectus will help you make that choice and give you a flavour of Gooseacre and the learning opportunities that we provide here. 

Gooseacre Primary School is part of the Barnsley Local Authority.  Our children usually start nursery as soon as possible after their third birthday and stay with us until they reach eleven. The school is part of a conurbation but is set in splendid grounds where the children have plenty of space to learn and play. We have good links with the local community and businesses and we provide daycare facilities for pre-school children, a breakfast café and an after school club for school age children.

We want your child’s time at our school to be happy, exciting and educational.  We believe that learning should be fun and that by encouraging respect for each other and valuing the opportunities available we all grow and learn together.
